    75% of my 1RM deadlift is 215.

      Split Jerk 1RM is 141 (12/21/10).

15 Minutes of split jerk practice: Used 77# and 99# to practice technique. 1 rep max is 141# from back in December. Didn’t go heavy today. Focused on technique.

2 Deadlifts at 213# (~75% of 1 rep max) on the minute for 10 minutes. Accumulate as many double-unders as possible between lifts. Score is total # of double-unders. 81 double-unders.

Worked on split jerk with 32, 42, and then 52#. It definitely is easier when you JUMP!

Used 121# for DL and did 76 DUs in the 10 minutes. 127# would have been my 75%, but 121# felt plenty heavy. Kept tripping on the DUs!!!!! Couldn’t get into a groove. Wasn’t groovy.

    Fun group today!

No Split Jerks for me until shoulder is pain free. Laura showed me how to used the reverse hyper which was strangely fun.
196#DL. 163 DUs. PRed my DUS on the 1st set 31. Woohoo! Kinda downhill thereafter. Good WOD! Welcome Mary! Hope you come back for more fun.

You got twice as many double-unders as me. Good job for you, but I paced and rested too much. I could have gotten over 100 if I had not stopped 15-20 seconds before the top of the minute to get ready for deadlifts. :-/

I am always stunned at how much you can DL. Damn, girl.

Very much enjoyed my workout w/ my peeps today.
Split jerks felt good. You definitely need the weight on this exercise to get the movement right. Worked on technique w/ Pat at 77 and 99lbs. Trying to knock the robot-thing as I get more comfortable with the move.
    184lb deadlift
    total: 99
For me this is a big improvement with double-unders. Didn’t get one DU the first round, but found my happy place after that. I feel like a clumsy frog doing these but at least I was stringing them along.

      awesome!!

RE: clumsy frog? Somehow I just can’t think of you as a clumsy frog in any way, shape, or form. You already have HSPUs and Ring Dips…you are a beast and I love watching the evolution of your badass self.

Thanks, Street! Just trying to keep up! ;)

    1rm split jerk 176
    1rm deadlift 390 x 75% = 292

I used 80 for the split jerks. Once Laura told me to keep my elbows up, it went well!

I used 143 for the deadlifts. I got 266 double unders.

Nice to have Mary join us!!

    • Terri January 19, 2011 at 4:52 pm #

Two hundred and sixty-six! 266!!! TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY-SIX!!!!!!

      Holy cow.

    • Pat January 19, 2011 at 6:18 pm #

      266! Therese, that is OUTSTANDING!

    • cfstreet January 19, 2011 at 7:26 pm #

    • Joy January 19, 2011 at 7:27 pm #

      Nice job, Therese!

    • eraynes January 19, 2011 at 7:55 pm #

      Nuts is right!! Holy-wow!!

  7. Joy January 19, 2011 at 7:36 pm #

Split jerk practice something like: 44/54/54/64(?)/59/59
Used 131# for deadlifts and got 106 DUs. At times they were frustrating, but I was stringing them together a little better some rounds; still with the extra single in between though.

  8. Jessica January 19, 2011 at 8:06 pm #
